ProSPER.Net is a network of universities in the Asia-Pacific region, sharing a common charter of promoting sustainable development in postgraduate education and research. The alliance was formally launched in Sapporo, Japan, on 21 June 2008. At present, 18 universities are members of this initiative.

ProSPER.Net is governed by a General Assembly, a Board, and a Secretariat. The General Assembly consists of representatives of all member institutions. It elects member institutions to the Board, which are responsible for the governance and management functions of the network. The UNU-IAS (United Nations University-Institute of Advanced Studies) serves as the network’s Secretariat.
