Course Structure 3 Modules

Our climate has a dynamic structure. It has got many elements. Different elements of the environment, such as land, water, biota etc acquire meaning and value with reference to the needs of people living in the region. Humans through their shear technological power have found ways to extract resources from the nature. This is having a great toll on the climate system as a whole.

Today, we are faced with severe backlash from the nature in the form of drastically changed climate. This is reflected in a rise in frequency and extent of extreme weather events, such as flood, drought, hurricanes, and so on. It's time we wake up and think seriously about climate change. The need of the hour for us is to have a comprehensive knowledge of the science behind climate change, its impacts, and how we can mitigate the impacts. We need to develop as a common unit internationally to fight against the upcoming danger in the form of climate change.

Right from assessing climate change, we need to build a sustainable development plan in terms of economy, polity and technology. Let's work together for a sustainable environment.
